Pakistan safe for sports, says British captain

Jacques Prinsloo, British Army cricket team skipper termed Pakistan completely safe for all kinds of sporting activities and declared all the negative propaganda against Pakistan baseless.

In an exclusive interview with TheNation on Sunday, Prinsloo said: “People talked so much regarding security situation in Pakistan and tried to scare us, but believe me, I have been in Pakistan for the last three days and I must admit Pakistanis are very much loving as they gave much respect to us in such a manner that we looking forward to visit Pakistan again and again”. “I have come here last year also but unfortunately due to Salala incident we could not get a chance to play against Pakistani Army team. But now I am very excited and we would also extend invitation to Pakistan Army team to visit Britain for a bilateral series”, he added.

Born in South Africa, Jacques Prinsloo is a left arm spin bowler and a right handed batman and bat at down the order as they have a strong batting line up which could hit big strokes right at the depth.

When this correspondent asked Prinsloo whether he would like to see England team play against Pakistan here, he replied: “I would love to see this happen, as I told you, I have found nothing wrong as far as security or any other issue is concerned but it would be decided by the British government whether to tour Pakistan or not. I would definitely pleads Pakistan’s case to UK government, as an army person we have got that additional inside feeling and I must say I have not found any thing extraordinary or wrong as far as security issue is concerned while people talk too much about security fears but I must recommend that people who had any ill-feelings much visit Pakistan at least once to monitors the atmosphere here”, he added.
