Pakistan Premier discuss Visa Issue in Kuwait with Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah

According to Kuwait’s local news report Arab Times Pakistani PM discusses Issue Of Visas With Kuwaiti Premier ‘The Two Countries Enjoy Close Relations Which Are Rooted In Bonds Of Religion, History’

It has been long awaited issue in Pakistani community living in Kuwait to be solved. Also being main priority of H.E. Ambassador of Pakistan in Kuwait Iftekhar Aziz, he tried to highlight this matter on many occasions with top Pakistani officials & Kuwait’s leadership. Kuwait Govt. has kept ban on Pakistani visas for many years due to Pakistan’s internal security along with other 6 nations which includes Bangladesh, Yemen and Syria.

The Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf thanked the Kuwaiti prime minister for inviting him to participate in Asian Cooperation Dialogue and expressed the confidence that the summit would auger well for bringing the governments and people of Asian Cooperation Dialogue member states even more closer.

Dilating upon the bilateral relations between the two countries, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Kuwait enjoy close relations which are rooted in bonds of religion and history.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf invited his Kuwaiti counterpart to visit Pakistan which he accepted. The dates of the visit would be decided at mutually convenient time.

The prime minister expressed concern over the issue of visas between the two countries and discussed in detail with the Prime Minister of Kuwait who expressed understanding over the issue and assured to look into the matter in the backdrop of close and brotherly relationship existing between the two countries with a view for an early resolution of the issue.

The Kuwaiti Prime Minister also directed the relevant authorities to transfer a piece of land to the government of Pakistan for construction of its embassy.

The Pakistani Prime Minister also extended an invitation to the Amir of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.

The Prime Minister of Kuwait said that we value our relationship with Pakistan which has supported us in time of need.
