Rush in Farwaniya, Hawally, Capital for Family Visas

KUWAIT CITY, April 16: The Immigration Department across the six governorates in the country received 700 applications on the first day, Sunday when the government started accepting family visa applications from Syrians who meet the set conditions, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to a source, the highest number of applications was in Farwaniya, Hawally and Capital since those areas have large number of Syrian residents.
He said the applicants came as early as 7am to file the applications at Farwaniya Immigration, in order to benefit from the decision issued by the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Hamoud.
Since the queue was long and the venue was congested, the administrative department director eased the procedure by decentralizing it which allowed the applicants to conclude the transactions early without much stress.
He stated that the situation in Hawally and Capital Immigration departments was the same as in Farwaniya, pointing out that the arrangement in Hawally was excellent.
He added that the officials received more than 200 applications for children below 15 years of age.

From Hala Pakistan: There is rumors that Pakistani family visas will also open soon after processing load of Syrian applicants.
