Pakistani Cars Wins Honours in Kuwait Concours d’ Elegence 2012

Pakistan Embassy (Press Release) – Cars from Pakistan bagged top positions in the Kuwait Concours d’ Elegence 2012, the Vintage and Classical Cars exhibition held in Kuwait from February 16 to 18 2012. Rolls Royce Silver Ghost 1924 was declared winner in Category “A” (Cars from 1900 to 1930) whereas Hupmobile 1929 grabbed the Third Position in the prestigious event that was held at Kuwait Marina Crescent and organized by Kuwait Historical, Vintage, & Classical Cars Museum, under the patronage of Kuwaits Former Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al Mohammad Al Sabah. The Event showcased handmade Classic Cars produced during the early stages of automotive industrial history to be spoke cars designed into the mid 1970’s. For large number of Pakistanis living in Kuwait, the event had an added significance as Rolls Royce Silver Ghost was the car used by “Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah” the Founder of Pakistan to reach to the Venue on August 14, 1947 to take oath as his countries First Governor General.
